From time to time I will rumage through my sketchbooks, just to remember and look at ideas not pursued and waiting for the right time to be developed into new artworks. Although I am best known for seascape and landscape paintings there is a more conceptual and abstract side to my creativity which I love to explore. These artworks are a very personal response to memories, dreams, mythological stories and play, I love collage, I love the idea of recycling odd bits of paper and drawings, I also like to work in a digital medium with various subjects. I have many many sketchbooks but the last thing I want to do is to rip them up, rather they become the starting point to explore memory and nostagia.
