The Welsh 3000 foot mountains….Part1

Yes all 16. We split this project into 4 sections, with three wild camps. The first section would include Yr Wyddf, Crib-y-Ddysgl and Crib Goch . The next section included Elidr Fawr, Y Garn, Glyder Fawr, Castell y Gwynt and Glydr Fach. For these two sections we based ourselves for a couple of nights at a favorite campsite in Nant Perris, and then  little ways up Llanberris pass wild camping. Here’s where we camped…..

Yr Wyddfa 1.085 meters

Crib-y-Ddysgl 1.065 meters

Crib Goch 923 meters

Elidr Fawr 924 meters

On the ridge heading towards Y Garn

Y Garn 947 meters

On our way to Glyder Fawr

Glyder Fawr 1001 meters

exploring the rocky outcrops on Castell y Gwynt 972 meters and Glyder Fach 994 meters

….after the Glyder range we moved camp cycling through Bethesda and up into the Ogwen Valley. This was  a stunning place, we camped in the mountains under the slopes of Tryfan…..it was spectacular, the weather continued to be wonderful, blue skies and hot, with just  hint of mist at times. We wild camped here for 5 nights…it was just too spectacular to move…..

To be continued…..
